We are a play-based preschool based in Long Beach. We care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old, and provide a range of age appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join Preschool.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on learning, creativity, and community. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.
Who We Are
Established in 2018, The Muse Academy, Long Beach, CA, promotes a thriving community of young learners through an active partnership with families and the community at large. Serving children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years old, we believe that kids learn best through play. We have developed a culture that focuses on teaching and supporting our students through fun and engaging activities.
Merging Teaching and Childcare
“The Muse Academy stemmed from my desire to open a daycare center upon seeing her mother (since 2002) and brother (since 2006), who both own a preschool, contributing to the lives of many children and families in the California area.
My educational path and nursing career have afforded me valuable insight into the disadvantages of underserved children and families who do not come from affluent communities.
It is for this reason that The Muse Academy was established with the purpose of serving all children, especially for underserved children and families who are not always given the opportunity to attend a high caliber preschool in an urban community.”
